Congratulations to the 2020 Young Jazz Artist Winner, Reese Pike!



Reese Pike is a jazz and classical pianist / clarinetist. She is a recent graduate of Westside High School and has studied with Stacie Haneline, Mark Misfeldt, Joe Weber and Mark Benson. She has been selected to the Nebraska All-State Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Band. A member of both the Omaha Area Youth Orchestra's Youth Symphony and the Metropolitan Area Youth Jazz Orchestra, Reese enjoys playing all kinds of music. Reese is a National Merit Scholarship Finalist and will begin her freshman year at Lawrence University in the fall, where she plans to major in biology and music.



Congratulations also to our 2020 Runner-Up, Andrew Li!



Andrew Li is a saxophonist and junior at Westside High School in Omaha. Starting out on classical saxophone, he was named one of seven finalists for the Music Teachers National Association competition for the junior woodwind division. Andrew is currently the lead alto for Westside's Concert Jazz Band and the Metropolitan Area Youth Jazz Orchestra and plays with Room 184, a combo of Westside musicians.
