Join the Nebraska Brass for the exciting fifth and final concert series of the season, “Nebraska Brass & Friends” featuring percussionist Jami Fristo. Fristo received a B.A. in Music Performance from Hastings College and has played professionally for over 30 years including two years in Los Angeles working as a studio musician and a live performer. “Nebraska Brass & Friends” is sure to delight and inspire audiences with outstanding musicianship and great works for brass quintet. The Nebraska Brass will be performing this concert series in Wahoo, Beatrice, Omaha, and Lincoln.

“Nebraska Brass & Friends” will include selections such as “Buckaroo Holiday” from Rodeo by Aaron Copland, “The Wrong Note Rag” by Leonard Bernstein, “Golligwog’s Cakewalk, by Claude Debussy, “The Chrysanthemum” by Scott Joplin and “Do Nothin’ till you hear from me” by Duke Ellington.

The Nebraska Brass, founded in 1987, includes members Dean Haist, trumpet; Brad Obbink, trumpet; Richard Ricker, French horn; Mark Mendell, trombone; and Ken Kielniarz, tuba. In addition to performing five sets of concerts each season, the Nebraska Brass provides educational outreach to elementary school students through the Nebraska Brass Education & Community Outreach Project.
