NEBRASKA BRASS ANNOUNCES BRASS ROOTS FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
Contact: Nebraska Brass: (402) 477-7899, nb@artsincorporated.org

As the final concert of the 2008-2009 season approaches, the Nebraska Brass would like to announce its “Brass Roots Fundraising Campaign” to guide the organization into the 2009-2010 season. As a result of the current economic downturn, the Nebraska Brass has seen reductions in funding from several sources, and the organization is addressing these reductions by cutting staff time, scaling back in marketing, publicity, mailings, promotions and office costs, but is committed to maintaining services.

The Nebraska Brass is depending on loyal supporters and audience members to help generate $10,000 of new support by August 1, 2009 through the “Brass Roots Fundraising Campaign.” Reaching the $10,000 goal will ensure the organization will continue to thrive in the next season and continue to present professional concerts and valuable educational outreach programs for the community.

Join the Nebraska Brass for “Brass Variations,” the final set of concerts in the Nebraska Brass's 2008-2009 season, which will include jazz classics such as “Tin Roof Blues” by Louis Armstrong, “Mood Indigo” by Duke Ellington and Morley Calvert’s “Suite From the Monteregian Hills.” Also on the menu for this swingin’ tribute will be new jazz arrangements by Robert Elkier and music by Scott Joplin and George Gershwin.
