Join the Nebraska Brass at "Hometown Christmas"

Hello Friends of the Nebraska Brass,

Join the Nebraska Brass at "Hometown Christmas," a festive start to the holiday season, featuring the world premiere of Gwyneth Walker's "A Season of Wonder."  Walker combines four classic Christmas carols, "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing," "We Three Kings," "Sing We Noel!" and "The Good King," in her new work written for the concerts.  Gwyneth Walker will be at the first "Hometown Christmas" concert in Council Bluffs, making for an exciting opportunity for you to meet the composer.

"Hometown Christmas" is the second concert series in the Nebraska Brass's 2007-2008 season, "American Premieres," each concert featuring new major works for brass quintet commissioned by the Nebraska Brass from five internationally renowned composers.

The final "Hometown Christmas" concert at St. Mark's United Methodist Church on Sunday December 23, 2007, will include a silent auction fundraiser to support the many different programs of the Nebraska Brass.

These Christmas concerts have become a family tradition, where everyone can enjoy their favorite holiday melodies played by the Midwest's most popular brass quintet.  Have you thought about treating your own family to a Nebraska Brass Christmas performance?  Bring your loved ones and start a new family tradition this year!
