The NEBRASKA BRASS announces their final
2002-2003 Season concerts:

“A Brass Menagerie”
(Lions & Tigers & Bears, Oh My!)

Thursday, May 29, First United Methodist, 4500 Linden Drive
Kearney, NE – 7:30 pm*

Saturday, May 31, First Presbyterian Church, 216 South 34th Street
Omaha, NE - 7:30 pm**

Sunday, June 1, Westminster Presbyterian, 2110 Sheridan Boulevard
Lincoln, NE - 3:00 pm**



“A Brass Menagerie” is the title of this fifth series of concerts, which will include the following selections inspired by the animal world: “A Brass Menagerie” by John Cheetham; 10 selections from “Animal Ditties VII” by Anthony Plog featuring the poetry of Ogden Nash; J.F. Wagner’s “Under the Double Eagle” as arranged by Arthur Frackenpohl; “Tiger Rag” as arranged by Jack Gale; John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s “Blackbird” arranged by Chris Dedrick; and “Ostrich Walk” by Bix Beiderbecke, arranged by Brian Pfoltner.

*Single admission prices for Kearney are: Student, $3; Senior Citizen, $8; Adult, $10.

**Single admission prices for Omaha and Lincoln are: Student, $5; Senior Citizen, $12; Adult $15.

Members of the Nebraska Brass include: Dean Haist, trumpet and Executive Director; Brad Obbink, trumpet; Richard Ricker, french horn; Mark Mendell, trombone; John Thomason, tuba.
