The Nebraska Brass announces their first concerts of the 2002-2003 season:
“All-American Pops”
Thursday, October 10, 2002, Centenary United Methodist Church, 608 Elk Street
Beatrice, NE – 7:30 pm*
Friday, October 11, 2002, Morning Star Lutheran, 331 South 85th Avenue
Omaha, NE - 7:30 pm
Sunday, October 13, 2002, Good Shepherd Presbyterian, 8300 East Pointe Road
Lincoln, NE - 7:30 pm
“All-American Pops” is the title of this first series of concerts, which will
include the following selections: “The Little Shepherd” by Claude Debussy,
“Simple Gifts” by Aaron Copland, selections from “The American Brass Band
Journal” by G.W.E. Friedrich, “The Easy Winners” by Scott Joplin, “Beale Street
Blues” by W.C. Handy, “Mood Indigo” by Duke Ellington, and “Rialto Ripples” by
George Gershwin and Will Donaldson.
Tickets may be purchased at the door the night(s) of the concerts, or in advance

202, Lincoln, NE 68508-1401. Single admission ticket prices for Lincoln and
Omaha are: Student, $5; Senior Citizen, $12; Adult, $15.
*Single admission prices for Beatrice only are: Student, $3; Senior Citizen,
$8; Adult, $10.
Season memberships are available and are good in any city: Student, $15; Senior
(65+), $36; Adult, $45; Family (2 adults max), $90.
Members of the Nebraska Brass include: Dean Haist, trumpet and Executive
Director; Brad Obbink, trumpet; Richard Ricker, french horn; Mark Mendell,
trombone; John Thomason, tuba.
