Friends of the Nebraska Brass,
The Nebraska Brass is proud to present its 2007-2008 concert series, "American Premieres," featuring new major works for brass quintet commissioned by the Nebraska Brass from five internationally renowned composers. In addition to the world premieres of the commissioned pieces, the performances will feature a variety of favorites including our popular Christmas concerts. We invite you to join us for another season of wonderful music played by the Midwest's most well-known brass quintet.

American Tribute
The Nebraska Brass will perform a program of all American works, featuring a new composition, "Purcell Changes," from UNL's dynamic composer- in-residence, Randy Snyder.

Hometown Christmas
As a festive start to the holiday season, the Nebraska Brass will perform traditional Christmas favorites and the premiere of a new piece for the holidays, "Season of Wonder" by Gwyneth Walker.

The Nebraska Brass, founded in 1987, includes members Dean Haist, trumpet; Brad Obbink, trumpet; Ric Ricker, horn; Mark Mendell, trombone; and John Thomason, tuba.
In addition to performing five series concerts each concert season, the Nebraska Brass provides educational outreach by presenting nearly 30 concerts to Nebraska elementary students through the Nebraska Brass Education & Community Outreach Project.
