Mission
To create a networking education
environment to exchange information and to heighten awareness of nonprofit
organizations in the community.
History
Organized in 1992, the Association of
Nonprofit Executives (ANPE), is an informal organization where members can
network and promote member organizations and services.
Meetings are held the first week of the month on Tuesday, Wednesday, or
Thursday, and cover a wide variety of topics, including grant applications,
working with foundations, nonprofit postal regulations, financial reporting
requirements, direct mail, taxes, IRS guidelines, fundraising, board
development, and much more.
Goals
- Provide a forum where executives can obtain information related to grants, tax tips, planned giving, legislation, fundraising, marketing strategies, etc.
- Develop a network whereby executives can quickly contact one another about various topics related to nonprofit organizations.
- Promote an open exchange of information between executives of various nonprofit organizations.
- Provide a place where in-service programs can be presented to meet the varied needs of the membership.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of other nonprofit organizations, their missions, fund-raising activities, staff, etc.
- Promote the leadership abilities of the executives of the Association.
